Detailed description
The group
Ten clients live in a residential group within the grounds of 's Heeren Loo. Men and women between the ages of 50 and 80 live here. Communication is through spoken and written language. Several clients are visually impaired and 1 client is deaf. Due to their age, a number of clients are in a wheelchair or walk with a walker. Independence is stimulated and the control lies with the client as much as possible. The counselors strive for the best possible old age for these clients. They like to do things together, such as cooking, walking or socializing.
What is this group asking?
They are looking for a volunteer who likes to cook for this group once a week.
They eat around 5:00 PM, so 4:00 PM would be a good time. But anything is possible in consultation.
This can be any day of the week, when the volunteer can.
The clients like to be present around the food, they enjoy the smells and like to help here and there if possible. Of course they want to try it out! Guidance is always present. A volunteer would give the counselors some space to pick up other things that would normally be left behind. And there is also the possibility to cook something different than the standard menu. The supervisors and the volunteer can eat with them. Are you coming to cook?
