Stay on holiday as a care volunteer
Each year, 7,200 people with physical disabilities go on holiday with the Sunflower. People like Rien, who can not travel without nursing care. More than 6,500 volunteers ensure that they can enjoy a good time.
Our volunteer team urgently needs reinforcements from nurses and carers. Do you want to have a nice holiday with us Rien? A holiday where you can put your passion for care and you have plenty of time for personal attention? With inspiring, super motivated colleagues in a relaxed holiday atmosphere? So take care of Sunflowers. Are you that far?
We're looking for you
- If you are at least 18 years old. There is no upper age limit.
- If you are or have worked at level 4 or 5 and are BIG registered.
- If you are working at level 3 (IG) or have been and have experience as a nurturer.
- If you are or have been working at level 2 and have experience as helping.
- If you are a student at the HBO-V or a have completed vocational training at MBO level and have completed a number of important internships.
What are you going to do?
- You nurse and care for the holiday participants. li>
- You make sure they have a wonderful time.
- You have a lot of contact with each other, eat together, have a chat, drink a drink, enjoy the surroundings and the holiday atmosphere.
- You regularly go out together. Go for a walk, shop, take a drink or go on an excursion.
Heavy but fun
Taking part in a Zonnebloem holiday as a volunteer is a fun and special experience. It is not for nothing that most volunteers return after one visit. Sometimes even many times. "It gives a lot of satisfaction and energy", they often say. But it is also heavy. Both emotionally and physically a lot is expected of you.
