Dutch Double Bass Festival is the festival for all lovers of fine music, with the spotlight on the double bass and bass guitar. With performances by among others, Grammy™ Award winner Richard Bona, Dominic Seldis and the basses of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, flamenco bassist Renaud Garcia-Fons and Rotterdam's Thomas Pol we let people see and hear why the bass is the basis of all good music!
For the festival on the 8th and 9th of June, we're looking for volunteers to help ensure the smooth running of the festival weekend. We are looking for stage managers, hosts and people to accompany artists back-stage.
Dutch Double Bass Festival has a small but professional team where you get the chance to work together in a casual atmosphere, on a professional music festival with performances by world stars.

Dutch Double Bass Festival shows that the double bass and bass guitar are essential elements to all good music by programming acts that touch and excite every music lover and also have the bass in the main role. The programme is comprised of a varied mix of more than twelve (inter)national acts. Classical, Jazz, World and Crossover are all represented in the festival programme. The next edition of Dutch Double Bass Festival takes place on the 8th and 9th of June 2019 in Rotterdam at the Oude Luxor Theater and Villa Thalia and is under artistic leadership of James Oesi.
