The DoSocial Foundation, a network of people and companies that, based on a social motive, supports vulnerable elderly people in the Netherlands, is organizing a Silver Rally through Amsterdam together with Cordaan on Thursday 15 November.
Who can register for the Silverrally?
The Silverrally offers space for 150 elderly people, including counseling, who live in or near Amsterdam. Can you get in and out of a car with some help (a walker is no problem) and do you enjoy going out with us for a day? Then we would like to invite you to be our guest during this unique event. And it's free too!
What are we going to do?
The DoSocial partners will pick you up at a central boarding point with their own cars in which there is room for 2 elderly people and 1 supervisor per car. You then make a tour through Amsterdam together. At a number of places we stop for a surprise. The tour ends at a special location where we treat you to a festive lunch. After lunch you will be safely returned to the boarding point.
For the volunteer:
We are still looking for a number of people who want to help us make this fantastic day for as many elderly people as possible. You could participate as a driver, but we are also looking for volunteers to help with the stops of the rally!
