As an intaker you will meet at home with the women who are registered with the ABC for Dutch lessons at home.

Make an inventory of the home situation, language level and learning objectives with the help of a questionnaire and feedback of the conversation to Region Coordinator
What kind of knowledge or skills are needed?
Patient and resourceful. You can listen well and keep asking questions. You can work independently and are not afraid to approach unknown situations. You will find no problem reporting after the intake. You follow the basic training. Willingness to teach for a short period is recommended. You are available for at least six months.
What kind of training are you offered?
basic training, workshops, intervision, guidance
What do you get in return?
You work within a professional and ambitious organization. The position is varied and independent and you are properly supervised. You come into contact with people from all kinds of cultures and you can make a valuable social contribution. You will be trained after the basic training. You can follow in-depth workshops via the ABC academy. The ABC offers a reimbursement for transport and telephone costs incurred.
What is the added value of this voluntary work?
By dedicating yourself to the ABC you become part of a large involved volunteer organization that makes it possible for foreign-speaking women to come out of their isolation and participate in Amsterdam society. The organizational culture of the ABC is informal and the atmosphere collegiate. It is rewarding work and fun to do!
Working hours
At least 2 hours a week or 8 hours a month, flexible scheduling.
How do you qualify?
After the basic training you will have a meeting with one of the regional coordinators.
