Volunteer vacancy: Kok

Ons Honk is a meeting place in Apeldoorn-Zuid where local residents meet, have a meal and various activities take place.

We have had a very nice professional kitchen since last year. Every week on Wednesday and Thursday we cook a delicious hot meal. Residents from the south register to have a nice dinner with us. Our volunteers serve around 15-30 local residents per day. On Wednesday and Thursday we start preparing the meal for that day at 9 a.m. and have dinner at 12 a.m. Our residents eat with us from 12 a.m. to 1 p.m. Our goal is not commercial, it is to connect people and let them eat together.

We are looking for a volunteer cook who wants to cook with us on Wednesday and / or Thursday. The working hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We offer good guidance and you work together in and with a nice group of volunteers.

Your duties will include preparing meals, cooking and then tidying up and cleaning.

As a volunteer cook you meet the following requirements;

· Affinity with cooking

· Available on Wednesday and / or Thursday

· Work hygienically

· Like to be in contact with people

· Being able to keep to agreements

· Flexibility

We prefer candidates with previous experience as a cook.
