We are looking for a driver who is safe on the road and willing to go on department excursions to drive a wheelchair bus.
As a volunteer driver on the wheelchair bus you must be safe on the road.
The hiring procedure includes a test drive!
You will be deployed as a volunteer driver, in consultation and according to schedule, on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Occasionally there may be a trip in the weekend.
It is important that you have a good back, in order to secure the wheelchairs with the resident in the wheelchair bus.
You also go along on the excursion as a supervisor and enjoy chatting with the elderly.
It is useful if you are flexible to take over a bus ride from a fellow volunteer driver in the event of an emergency.
If necessary, you can plan a route.
You can work independently and take responsibility.
The wheelchair bus provides excursions for residents of Casa Bonita and associated small outdoor locations.
As a volunteer, you are insured during your work, you receive an annual Christmas gift and you can participate in a party for employees and volunteers, as a thank you for your efforts.
You can declare any travel expenses you may have incurred.
You can also become a member of our active staff association.
