Trainers and coaches wanted for Training Team!
The youth organization YMCA is looking for young enthusiasts for the 'teamwork' project who want to work in a team to (learn to) provide training, give instructions, coach volunteers or even create new workshops.
The core activities for this project are: acquiring knowledge in order to share knowledge, in other words, you will be trained to give training!
Who are we looking for and what are you going to do? (Or: Who are you?)
Do you enjoy transferring knowledge, enriching others and giving something? Are you at least 16 years old and do you think it would be a challenge to teach others to think and use different working methods in this training team. In this team you work together to be able to provide training to a group of volunteers at the end of the trajectory. To conclude the team, we will organize a workshop day for youth work leaders and volunteers. We will do this in collaboration with other teams.
What else do you learn in this team? (Or: what do you get from us?)
Based on your knowledge and interests, we look at which theme you want to specialize in (for example: game training, group dynamics or communication techniques). You develop skills to provide training to volunteers. You learn to stand in front of a group, to convey your message and to use different techniques. All skills that are also important in the labor market.
How much time does it take?
On average it will take you about maybe 1 or 2 hours a week, but in practice it will probably take place a little more in a bundle, for example through an online consultation or by visiting and visualizing a YMCA activity.
The Training Team consists of young people spread throughout the Netherlands. You mostly work together online, occasionally you have meetings or activities on location, then you have to be prepared to travel to that place.
What does Project: Teamwork do?
YMCA Teamwork organizes a training where you can deepen your knowledge of these skills. You gain knowledge about the entire process, from planning to implementation.
