The Chairperson is tasked with coordinating the WAC team and is the primary point of contact. Together with the team, provides direction and substance to the WAC objectives.

As a WAC volunteer, you find it important that people in Wageningen live comfortably and feel safe and at home.

You have knowledge of or an affinity with construction or housing.
You can empathize with the housing needs of residents
You are interested in architecture and urban planning
You are willing to take a 2-day course on 'reading drawings and advising'.
You are available for an average of a few half-days per month, partly also in the evening hours.
You are willing to commit to the WAC for at least one term of four years.

To ensure the WAC organization functions effectively, we have a number of focus areas in addition to the basic tasks. These include board duties, but also communication, COW membership, regional cooperation, knowledge network, etc.

CHAIR

General coordinating role within the WAC
Chairing the meetings of both the board and the committee
Preparing the meetings together with the secretary
Writing the foreword in the annual report
Maintaining external contacts, and
Maintaining the resignation schedule

About Woon Advies Commissie Wageningen

The Wageningen Housing Advisory Committee Foundation (WAC) aims to promote the housing quality of existing and future homes. It assesses plans for practical usability from the perspective of future residents and advises the Municipality, project developers, and housing associations regarding their plans for housing construction and the living environment.
