As a PR/Communications board member, you are responsible for public relations and communications within the board.
Detailed description
As a PR/Communications board member, you will be responsible for public relations and communications within the board. The neighborhood council uses several forms of communication from the council to the residents of our neighborhood: the printed newsletter, the digital newsletter, the website, and social media, of which our Facebook page is currently the most important component. You will also manage the neighborhood council's Nextdoor account.
The specific duties of the PR/Communications board member include:
• Participating in the editorial process of the printed Newsletter
• Composing the digital newsletter
• Updating and maintaining the website
• Posting messages on Facebook and other social media platforms.
• Monitoring the logistics surrounding the delivery of the printed newsletter by the delivery volunteers and acting as a point of contact for this group.
• Responding to questions and comments from residents of the district in emails and social media, insofar as these concern the PR and communication expressions of the district council.
• Maintaining contacts with advertisers in the printed newsletter and on the website.
