About Westfries Archief
The Westfries Archief is the regional historical center for Westfriesland. A professional, public-oriented service where (West Frisian) citizens, institutions and governments can turn to with historical questions. In 1974, the West Frisian municipalities agreed to transfer their archives to a regional archive. They concluded a joint arrangement whereby they let their Westfries Archive perform their statutory duties with regard to the management of archives.
