Board Member Finance

With 35 fellow volunteers we sell Fairtrade products with the aim to offer our producers a long-term living income/wage. The atmosphere is informal and socially involved.

As a board member of finance, you will become a member of a collegial board. Your primary focus is finance. Much of the executive work is assigned to the accountant and the Finance and Administration working group.

Together you work on a financially healthy association that continues to meet the requirements of law and regulations. In fact, you mainly function as a controller who supervises and, where necessary, directs the financial process. In addition, as a board member you contribute to the policy.

The board members of the association are also actively involved in certain activities that may lie outside their own portfolio. This concerns the support of various independent working groups.

What are we looking for?

You have relevant knowledge and work experience within the financial economics field and want to use that knowledge and experience for at least two years to promote Fairtrade. Together with the other volunteers you help the goals that are

described in the multi-year plan. You take initiatives where necessary.

Furthermore, you are aware of the fact that we are a volunteer organization.

It is expected that this volunteer position will require several hours per week.

If you start working as a volunteer, you automatically become a member of the Vereniging Wereldwinkel Apeldoorn. In addition to the core activity of the shop, the association also organizes recreational activities, where you can get to know the other volunteers better.
