June 24 is Forget-me-not Day, a national initiative of the National Elderly Fund. This day is organized to draw attention to the fact that many elderly people are alone in the summer because their close relatives are on vacation. During the Forget-me-not day, the elderly are welcome at various locations in Deventer for all kinds of fun activities. Residents can have themselves portrayed in 12 nursing homes in Deventer. The photos are then used to make postcards that the resident can send to family and friends. The volunteer must be in possession of a digital photo camera. Knowing more?
