FOR WHOM
Integrators and non-integrators who live in East and are reachable by phone. The student can talk at an easy level without an interpreter.
TARGET
Informal contact with the language coach gives students the opportunity to practice Dutch in an informal way and to become more confident in speaking.
Moreover, contact with the language coach helps them to become better acquainted with Dutch society.
METHOD
The participant comes home once a week to the language coach or vice versa. People speak about everyday life or shared interest in Dutch. Sometimes people go out together, that is determined by the participants themselves. In principle, the contact lasts one year. SamenSpraak Oost is a project of Wijkopbouworgan Oost.
SUPPORT
Language coaches can use the expertise of the volunteers at the SamenSpraak office that is open three mornings a week and holds consultations by telephone. Here they can go with their questions. They also organize introductory courses and intervision meetings.
