Work buddy helps cook together

What are you going to do?

You'll be working with a woman at the Markt 17 Drop-in Center, helping with the cooking. She's just starting her integration program. She's having a hard time learning the language. She already understands a little, but finds it difficult to speak. You'll support her with her work and help her practice speaking Dutch. This is in addition to the language lessons she takes three times a week.

There's a chef in charge. If you'd like to be the chef yourself, there's room for that too.

When?

Friday afternoon.

Who are we looking for?

You're incredibly patient and can easily connect with others. You can keep pace with them. You don't let yourself get discouraged when language development progresses very slowly.

What do we offer you?

You can always contact your supervisor with questions. You'll also have meetings with your fellow volunteers, allowing you to share experiences. Before you start, you'll participate in a training session with the Dutch Refugee Council (Vluchtelingenwerk). This will ensure you're well-prepared.
