Cooking buddy for immigrants

What are you going to do?

You'll help cook at NudeToekomst with a woman who's integrating. A chef will tell you what to do.

You're the bridge between NudeToekomst and this woman. You're the point of contact for NudeToekmst. As you work, you'll teach her how things work in the Dutch workplace. This happens once every two weeks on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The other week, a colleague cooks with her.

With whom?

The lady is having a harder time learning the language. She goes to school three times a week. She's a friendly, enthusiastic woman. Volunteering together helps her enjoy her work. This way, she's already learning about Dutch work culture and being in a Dutch-speaking environment.

When?

Once every two weeks on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a woman who can work on Tuesday mornings. You're a good communicator and very patient. You can keep up with others at their pace. You're not discouraged by slow language development.

What do we offer you?

For questions about the work itself, you can contact the coordinator of NudeToekomst. For questions about supporting refugees, you can always contact the Refugee Council supervisor. You'll also have meetings with your fellow volunteers to share experiences. Before you start, you'll participate in a training session with Refugee Council to ensure you're well-prepared.
