Do you think it is important that asylum seekers are well prepared for their asylum procedure? Then come and give them information and personal guidance.
What are you going to do?
The Council for Refugees is an independent advocacy organization that stands up for the interests of people who request asylum in the Netherlands.
Volunteers provide asylum seekers with information about the Dutch asylum procedure and Dutch policy to prepare the asylum seekers as well as possible for their procedure. We explain the various organizations involved and we explain the steps in the procedure and the Dutch policy. We assist asylum seekers in legal and social matters. We support people individually, so we can discuss their personal situation and reason for escaping if desired. In addition, we offer support if people want to have proof come across. We use an interpreter over the phone for most conversations.
What do we ask?
We are looking for involved people with a sober attitude, HBO thinking level, who are available for at least 2 half-days a week. No prior legal knowledge is required! Dutch, English and preferably other languages.

You stand up for the rights of refugees. You help them build a new life in the Netherlands. The Council for Refugees stands for humanity and the right to life in safety.
Working hours:
On working days. At least two half-days a week.
half-days are from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
