Do you like jobs in and around the house, maintaining contacts and thinking along? Become a caretaker for homes in which refugees are given a safe shelter.
Do you like jobs in and around the house, maintain contacts, think along and can you co-ordinate a move? Do you also like to help refugees? Then you can work with us as a volunteer!
In concrete terms, this means that you, together with our current caretaker, will become our point of contact when it comes to maintenance and jobs for our clients. You keep an eye on whether physical jobs still need to be done in the 4 shelters, but you are also ready when, for example, the internet does not work. In addition, you have contact with the landlords of our properties and you pay attention to current contracts (gas, water, electricity, internet). If the housing ends or clients have to move, you help with the move. Of course we do this as a team. You can also manage other volunteers for larger jobs.
We are looking for someone who:
- Handy, does not turn his/her hand around for chores in and around the house;
- Has good social and communication skills;
- Can keep an overview, can coordinate and work both independently and in a team;
- Pre: knowledge of energy saving and being able to communicate about it well.
In terms of time use, it costs two to four half-days per month.
