Become a buddy of a refugee in Wageningen

Would you like to regularly do something with a refugee and help him or her find their way in Wageningen? Then we are looking for you!

As a buddy, you visit the client approximately once a month. Together you decide what you are going to do: take a walk, go through the mail, go to the library, practice Dutch, pursue a hobby, or go with them to an agency or doctor.

You help the client to find his or her way better in society. You break through social isolation and stimulate participation and integration.

As a buddy you are socially involved, you offer a listening ear and you talk about what is going on in the client's life, for example about income, housing, health, education or contacts. You support, without taking over the direction.

You keep Vluchteling Onder Dak regularly informed of the contact. You coordinate with the buddy coordinator about the well-being of the client and you can always go for guidance and questions.

We try to form a network of buddies around each client. You can also register together with someone.
