As a supervisor at the 50+ Club, you offer seniors with disabilities a fun evening with simple exercise and play activities.
The 50+ Club is all about exercise and socializing for seniors with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. It meets every Tuesday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Generaal Foulkesweg 15 in Wageningen. It's open year-round, except during the summer, Christmas, and May holidays.
We'll start the evening with an extensive warm-up (sitting and standing), and then it's time for ball games, bowling, sliding table tennis, shuffleboard, etc. The evening ends with a break, time for coffee/tea, and a chat.
A small group of volunteers ensures everything runs smoothly and everyone can participate at their own pace. We're looking for new volunteers to join our team. Perhaps this is something for you?
Who are we looking for?
Do you enjoy giving people who need extra attention a fun evening and are you available early on Tuesday evenings? Then you're very welcome. If you can't make it every week but can a few times a month, that's fine too. We'll arrange that in consultation.

Enjoyable and meaningful volunteer work, with opportunities to learn and connect. As a volunteer, you'll be part of our sports club and welcome to our annual events for members and volunteers.

WAAG is a sports and recreation association for people with disabilities. We are there for people with an intellectual and/or physical disability, but we also have experience with participants with acquired brain damage and autism. WAAG organizes various activities in Wageningen and the surrounding area. Guidance during and around the activities is provided by our volunteers. Where necessary, WAAG provides appropriate materials and tools. This way, all participants can exercise and relax in a fun, sporty and safe way.
