What do you contribute to?

More than 1 million people in the Netherlands live below the poverty line. The Food Banks help the poorest by temporarily providing them with food parcels. For this we work together with companies, institutions, governments and private individuals. In this way, together we ensure that poverty is combated, food surpluses disappear and the environment is less burdened. Eye for food and heart for people! Food Banks Netherlands (VBN) is the national association of and for more than 170 Food Banks in the Netherlands with a total of more than 12,000 fellow volunteers.

Active and current safety and working conditions policy.

2. Inventory and evaluate risks.

3. Draw up and implement a plan of approach.

4. Set up and implement safety and working conditions measures and procedures.

5. Adhere to and enforce safety and working conditions measures and procedures.

The VBN Safe Working and Arbo team will work with Regional Advisors to stimulate and support an active and current safety and health and safety policy at food banks in the country. Initially we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic volunteer for the Rotterdam region.

Your role, tasks and activities.

· You coordinate your role, tasks, work plans, projects and results with the Coordinator of the VBN Safety at Work and Arbo team.

You work closely with a colleague from the VBN Relationship Management team who works within the same region

· You establish and maintain fruitful contacts with the Food Banks in your region and in coordination with your colleague Relationship Manager.

· You inform Food Banks about active and current safety and working conditions policy and you stimulate decisiveness and actions in this area.

· You monitor the status of the safety and working conditions policy, based on the 5 pillars of active and current safety and working conditions policy, and you advise on adjustments, additions and improvements.

You support where possible in the (further) development, elaboration and implementation of active and current safety and working conditions policy.

· You share your knowledge and experiences within your own team and within the Relationship Management and HRM team in order to continuously improve the professionalism of the services.

· You adhere to internal agreements with regard to administrative processes and information management.

What are you bringing?

· You have a completed safety education (MVK or HVK) or demonstrable multi-year experience with safety and working conditions policy at operational work level.

· You have strong communication skills, social skills and integrity.

· You show initiative and decisiveness and are reliable in word and deed.

· You can work well together and are solution-oriented with the right feeling for the typical working environment of and variety of Food Banks.

· You are available on average 8-12 hours a week and of course working from home is possible .

What do we have to offer you?

· Nice colleagues who all work on a voluntary basis in a close-knit team.

· You can organize your time and attention independently.

· Free, unlimited training via our Food Bank Academy.

· Expenses, such as travel expenses, are eligible for reimbursement.

· AND above all: grateful clients who, thanks to your efforts, can eat healthy.
