The Oud Apeldoorn Association is there for all residents of Apeldoorn. Whether or not you were born in Apeldoorn. If you are interested in the history of Apeldoorn, this board position might be something for you.

The association wants to collect, arrange and preserve images and memories of historic Apeldoorn. In short, representing cultural-historical interests. But the meetings are very important. Numerous meetings are held annually, such as the “coffee chats” with lectures with a historical background. The program also includes cycling tours, the book market, excursions to old local companies, city walks, Christmas concerts, and the Liberation Day of Apeldoorn (April 17) is always paid extensive attention through meetings at the lock. The VOA stall can be found at numerous events in Apeldoorn, where we like to inform Apeldoorn residents and where books about Apeldoorn are sold. The VOA has also published its own books on various subjects.

You can also become a member and there are almost 2,000 interested parties. Members receive a nice magazine 6 times a year, but a lot of background information. There are various working groups active in the field of digital archiving, editing, research and activities. For this last working group in particular, we are looking for a volunteer who enjoys organizing and carrying out activities and who likes to think about how we can make members and residents of Apeldoorn happy with even more great activities.
