Travel2Connect is a small-scale social enterprise that offers interns and volunteers the opportunity - if you are open to it - to learn from another culture. We put you in direct contact with the local inhabitants of Gambia or Senegal. We strive for you to have an authentic and unique experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Are you willing to work as a dental assistant in The Gambia, a country where there is almost no dental care, especially for children? Healthy teeth are of great importance. Damage and pain to children's teeth hinders them as they grow up. Children eat, play, sleep and learn poorly if they have problems with their teeth. You will work in a dental care car of the Westland4Gambia Foundation along schools in a circle of approximately 20 km around the city of Brikama. The children's teeth are checked in the schoolyard and information about dental care is provided in the classroom with an instruction banner. In addition, you will work one day a week in a permanent dental practice in Jamwelly.
