Disabled care, children, education, activity guidance.

Who are we?
Travel2Connect is a small-scale social enterprise that offers interns and volunteers the opportunity - if you are open to it - to learn from another culture. We put you in direct contact with the local inhabitants of Gambia or Senegal. We strive for you to have an authentic and unique experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Activities
If you would like to work in a developing country with children with disabilities, we can offer you a special project in The Gambia.
Children with disabilities are often not important to Gambian society. Sometimes these children are forced into begging or even locked up. You will have the opportunity to guide children with activities in a special class that has been established with Gilde Training ROC Venlo. Of course you can also bring in your own ideas in consultation with the local employees. In addition, you provide personal guidance to the children.

We ask
* You are at least 18 years old on the departure date.
* You are physically and mentally healthy.
* You are patient, flexible, reliable and interested in other cultures.
* You have experience regarding the vacancy or you are following a training course for this.
* There is a registration procedure.
* You pay the costs that volunteer work in Gambia entails, such as preparation and supervision costs, flight ticket, accommodation costs and meals.

We offer
* Interesting projects from which you will learn a lot.
* A good preparation in the Netherlands and guidance in The Gambia.
* Pick up service from the airport.
* Introduction day in Gambia.
* A lodging address that serves as a home base where the volunteer can go with questions and relax.
* Various possibilities for excursions and/or workshops.

Time use
In consultation.
