Travel2Connect is a small-scale social enterprise that offers interns and volunteers the opportunity - if you are open to it - to learn from another culture. We put you in direct contact with the local inhabitants of Gambia or Senegal. We strive for you to have an authentic and unique experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Do you have green fingers and are you looking for a special travel experience? Then you can get started in the tropics in a botanical garden in Senegal.
In Kafountine a beautiful botanical garden has been created on the basis of permaculture. Permaculture is a sustainable way of gardening. Many kinds of medicinal plants, fruits and vegetables grow in this garden. You work in the garden, you make compost from natural materials, you work with medicinal plants and transform them to make medicines. This way you gain broad experience. The products from this garden are sold in a shop, a restaurant and on the local market.
