Travel2Connect is a small-scale social enterprise that offers interns and volunteers the opportunity - if you are open to it - to learn from another culture. We put you in direct contact with the local inhabitants of Gambia or Senegal. We strive for you to have an authentic and unique experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Are you willing to work as a pharmacy assistant in a developing country like The Gambia? Then you will gain a special experience there. You will work in a small village pharmacy where patients sometimes come without a doctor's prescription and where you determine together with the pharmacist what medicine people need for their complaint or illness. You can also combine this project with a professional hospital pharmacy. There you work closely with doctors and nurses who advise the patient about the medicines to take. You will learn a lot, also about complaints or illnesses that do not or hardly occur in the Netherlands.
