The market coordinator helps the Talking Hands foundation with coordinating the sale of Ugandan crafts at markets and the volunteers who help with this.
Job description:
The sale of Ugandan crafts is an important source of income for Talking Hands. As a market coordinator you are responsible for coordinating the sale of crafts at markets and coordinating volunteers to do this on behalf of Talking Hands. You actively look for volunteers to support the sale of the crafts. You register Talking Hands for relevant markets, prepare the markets and pack the crafts in advance. You will also have regular contact with the fundraising board member, for example about reordering crafts from our team in Uganda.

- Likes to plan activities and tackle practical tasks independently.
- Is a social person with an interest in motivating others.
- Enjoys maintaining contact with volunteers and coordinating them.
- Enthusiastic about the Ugandan crafts and the story behind them.

Desired time commitment:
On average, this position will require approximately 4 hours of time commitment per week. However, this will on average be higher during the market season (May to September) than outside of it.
