Volunteer activities for children and young people in azc

Who are we?

De Vrolijkheid is a network of artists, theater makers and musicians who work for children, young people and their parents in asylum seekers' centres. We organize cultural activities for and with them, in which the wishes and needs of the residents are central. Activities based on refugees' confidence in their own strength. Through dance, theatre, music and visual arts we offer them space to shape their story, to regain self-confidence, to develop talents and to be a child for a while.

Activities

Depending on wishes and talents, volunteers can support art workshops, support music workshops, do administrative work, set up and maintain the Cheerful space or organize events.

We ask

You:

• are a go-getter, take initiative, can work well together and work independently
• would like to collaborate with professional artists
• have an affinity with children and young people who live in an asylum seekers' center
• you live in Apeldoorn

Time use

In consultation. We usually give workshops on Wednesdays and Thursdays (afternoon).
