The secretary is the memory of the organization. He/she sets up a good information system in which it is easy to search for documents, reports and contacts.
Duties of the secretary include;
● Acting as an information point for management and outsiders.
● Ensure that mail is answered on time.
● Assess whether received documents should be brought to the attention of the board.
● Ensure that board members and stakeholders have relevant information in a timely manner.
● Collect, organize and manage relevant information in an accessible archive.
● Prepare the agenda together with the chairman.
● Reporting of meetings.
● Send meeting documents, reports and agenda to board members.
● Carry out other correspondence.
● Draw up the policy plan and annual report together with the chairman.
● Monitor the registration with the Chamber of Commerce.
Job requirements for the secretary role are:

Time spent on this position;
This board position costs approximately 4 hours per week (indicative). You can divide the time yourself. You are also available for necessary meetings and gatherings. The position is unpaid.

What is the purpose of the neighborhood council De Bothoven?
The mission of the neighborhood council is to reduce the distance between government and citizens and to involve residents in the physical management and quality of life of the neighbourhood.

The neighborhood council believes it is important that residents feel at home in their neighborhood and feel connected to it. The neighborhood council wants the residents to be proud of their neighborhood and that the residents "know each other". As a neighborhood council, we like to encourage residents to help each other and have fun together.

The neighborhood council likes to work together with residents, associations, authorities from the neighborhood and professionals who have a role in the neighborhood such as the municipality of Enschede, entrepreneurs. The district council would also like to cooperate with parties outside the district, for example with other district councils.
Ambitions, the neighborhood council wants:
Strengthening “cooperation” of the residents; Encouraging residents to take initiatives for the neighborhood themselves (if they want to!); Support and organize activities for and by the neighbourhood; Being well informed about what is happening in the neighborhood and what is going on; To be the discussion partner for the municipality on topics that concern the neighbourhood; Communicate clearly and openly.
