Job Coach Wanted!

Are you a bridge builder? Can you translate the language and cultural differences between a newcomer and a Dutch employer? Then we are looking for you! For a project in the glass industry, we are looking for an employment coach in the Municipality of Apeldoorn. The workplace has already been found: You help from the first working day with everything the newcomer encounters in the workplace: think of all kinds of practical matters such as travel expense claims, working hours, but also dealing with colleagues, unwritten rules in the workplace, etc.

You can do this from home, alternating with regular physical appointments. The time investment is approximately 2 hours per week, for a period of six months. During this period you will receive professional guidance from a professional and you can use all courses and training courses that Vluchtelingenwerk offers. This way you can train your own coaching skills and develop yourself. You enrich yourself with knowledge of cultures and develop an open mind-set.

Last but not least: You play a very important role in the life of a newcomer!

Tasks:

• Guiding the newcomer in his new workplace, via zoom, live appointments and sometimes in the workplace;
• Discuss progress formats with the newcomer and employer
• Reporting progress in a client tracking system

• Creative, able to think out of the box
• Empathy, the ability to look without prejudice
• Patience
• Able to adapt communication to a low language level

• Able to work independently

Location: Apeldoorn

Working hours: Can be arranged yourself, from home and sometimes at a meeting place

Working hours: About 2 hours a week, for half a year
