Coordinator wanted for region Wageningen, Oosterbeek. To connect volunteers and elderly for cultural outings like the theater and concerts. 3 hours p/w.
WHAT DOES CELEBRATE LIFE DO?
The Vier het Leven Foundation organizes guided theater, concert, film and museum visits for elderly people who are no longer able, willing or dare to undertake these activities independently.
Culture inspires and connects and under the motto 'Together Out, Together Enjoy' we combat loneliness among the elderly with our team. Every year we can count on approximately 30,000 participations of elderly people in the Netherlands.
The power of Vier het Leven lies in the human approach, the personal attention. Guests are personally picked up and brought home by volunteer hosts and hostesses.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
· Together with your co-location coordinator, you are the centre of the volunteer team (20 pp) in your programme area.
· In our reservation system 'James' you make the schedules and scripts for the hosts/hostesses. So that they can go to a beautiful show together with our guests without any worries.
· As the point of contact for the hostesses/hosts, you maintain (1-on-1) contact with the volunteers with the aim of binding and retaining them.
You recruit new volunteers and organize an annual volunteer meeting.
· You arrange practical matters with the theatre.
· You are committed to raising awareness of Celebrate Life in your area, so that more seniors want to participate.
ABOUT YOU
One team, two goals: happy volunteers and satisfied participants; ingredients for a fun cultural outing! In order to be able to perform your role successfully, you have an affinity with the elderly, culture and working with others.
You are good at planning and organizing and you are socially skilled. You are the connecting factor in your team. Of course you are handy with the computer and you have your own computer or laptop. You live in the Wageningen / Oosterbeek area.
WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?
Lots of fun, variety, challenge and satisfaction! An enthusiastic team with a passion for the beautiful work. Space for your own initiative and input. All flexibility, because you work from home at your own time. Of course you will receive basic training and you will be guided by the regional coordinator. Do you also like to go to the theater?
