Who are we:

Stichting Samenspraak Apeldoorn (SSA) is an initiative of Apeldoorners. Important core values are equality, quality, appreciation, connection, diversity, inclusiveness and cooperation.

SSA wants to combat discrimination, exclusion and polarization. We do this by bringing people from Apeldoorn into conversation through dialogue. SSA employs committed volunteers and a paid employee who manages the SSA project office. The project office supports the board and the dialogue facilitators in organizing the activities. A number of volunteers who are at a distance from the labor market work at the project office, who gain work experience and can return to work more quickly in a regular job.

We are nearby and organize events where people from Apeldoorn can enter into a dialogue with each other. Some of our activities include Dialogue Week and Peace Week. To this end, Samenspraak trains Apeldoorners to become discussion counselors who guide the discussions according to the Dialogue Method.

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for dialogue facilitators who want to supervise dialogue tables according to the dialogue method. Are you someone who has a passion for connecting, working together, listening, combating discrimination and exclusion? Then becoming a dialogue facilitator is made for you. After basic training, you enter the dialogue supervisor pool. From this pool you participate in working groups to prepare and conduct dialogues during various activities and events. If you have become enthusiastic, sign up immediately as a dialogue facilitator!!

Are you already an experienced dialogue facilitator? Then we are also looking for you. Then sign up for our dialogue tables. There are regular refresher courses to update your skills!

Who are the trainers:

The basic training and refresher courses are provided by experienced dialogue facilitators and trainers associated with SSA. They are people with a passion for dialogue and broad experience in listening, guiding dialogue and providing training for SSA.

What do we ask:

As a (starting) dialogue facilitator your communication skills include:

· Listen

o Interested/Paying attention

o Open/Unbiased

· Inquire

o Only information questions to deepen your knowledge

o Be attentive to suggestive or discussion questions

· Summarize

o Briefly tell back what you heard

o Possibly in the form of a 'paraphrase'

o Can be used as “rounding off” a speaker if necessary

We also ask for enthusiasm and active participation in the various activities throughout the year. The indicated hours per week are an indication and will vary depending on the activities throughout the year.
