At the SAMAH Foundation we use the stories of experts by experience to inspire and help other young single refugees. For this we are looking for a Social Media Talent! Someone who can help us turn these stories into blogs and short videos that are perfect for Social Media
Job description:
Together with the project manager, you review the stories received and design a plan on how they can best be processed into information (blog, short video, podcast) that can inspire or help other young refugees. You can also collect stories and information from other colleagues, which can be distributed in the bi-monthly newsletter.
Job requirements:
Good knowledge of Social Media. Able to write short, catchy texts that are suitable for the target group (young single refugees). Knowledge of editing equipment for making videos or podcasts is a plus.
What do you have to offer the volunteer ?:
Collaboration in a nice small team of enthusiastic colleagues (this is somewhat limited in Corona time, but the project leader lives in Wageningen, so physical contact is certainly possible) The freedom to get creative with various ways to share the stories and thereby inspire Expense allowance if applicable (Unfortunately, we are very small and we cannot provide a volunteer allowance) A glimpse into the special world of young single refugees
What makes the work worthwhile ?:
By sharing our stories, we make a lot of impact and we can inspire and help young single refugees. Experts by experience play a prominent role at SAMAH, they inspire and help other young people by sharing their stories. Because of you we can bring these stories even better to the attention and make more impact.
Working time:
In consultation, about 2-4 hours a week (more is allowed!)

SAMAH contributes to improving the well-being of young single asylum seekers aged 12 to 25 by promoting their interests and strengthening their position in (both) Dutch society and in the country of origin.
As an independent foundation, SAMAH has set up dozens of projects for and with (former) unaccompanied minors since 1999, carried out by professionals, volunteers and young people themselves. More than 5,000 young people have participated in SAMAH projects and activities, including youth teams, buddy and childminder projects, festivals, training courses, coaching programs and volunteer work.
