We are looking for a kind and caring volunteer to spend time with an older woman who would enjoy companionship and meaningful conversation.
Originally from Guyana, she is a warm, open and friendly person who speaks English well. She enjoys sharing stories about her life and experiences and values having someone who will listen with patience and interest.
She has a strong Catholic faith, enjoys watching sports, and has travelled extensively. Since the loss of her husband, she has been feeling lonely and would appreciate having someone to spend time with on a regular basis.
She is looking for a volunteer buddy to go for walks together, enjoy the local heath or park, and have a cup of tea or coffee while chatting. The focus is on friendly companionship and sharing enjoyable moments together.
Who are we looking for?
- A warm, patient and compassionate volunteer.
- Someone who enjoys conversation and listening to life stories.
- Someone who likes walking and spending time outdoors.
- Availability is flexible; days and times can be arranged to suit both of you.
