About Stichting Humanitas

The Humanitas Foundation is the volunteer organization of Rotterdam. Many hundreds of volunteers support vulnerable Rotterdammers. They do this at people's homes, but also in our meeting centers, care, nursing and reception locations.

Informal carer, volunteer or professional: at Stichting Humanitas we make no distinction. We know better than anyone that everyone's contribution is invaluable to the well-being of our clients.

What do you do as a volunteer?
Volunteering at Stichting Humanitas means working with people. Our clients form a beautiful reflection of the inhabitants of Rotterdam. From all kinds of backgrounds. From young to old. From poor to rich.

The needs of the clients are also very diverse. But one aspect is always central: working together. Play a game together or go for a walk. Together to a difficult conversation. Say goodbye together. Or just start over together.

But maybe you also have ideas about how you can support? There is also plenty of room for that!
