Which enthusiastic (ex) teacher would like to strengthen our team as teacher or master for group 3-4 of schools that come to visit the "School of the Old"?
Outside the regular opening hours, Het Schooltje van Dik Trom offers primary schools a special program for groups 3-4 in the context of 'De school van Vroeger'. You tell something about the Schooltje and Dik Trom and then give a lesson as happened more than 100 years ago. You teach with the reading board and teach the children to write with the dip pen, paper and ink. Naturally, you tailor your lesson to the group you receive.
Through their visit to the School, the children become acquainted with our heritage and experience how it used to be in the past. The groups are received by two masters and / or teachers, because the room in the school is so small that only half a group can enter it. Each group is therefore split. One half is first taught in the school and then a music or craft lesson in the annex. The other half does the same activities, but in reverse. In the playtime, children can play hoop, marbles, jump rope, hopscotch, etc.
