Are you a networker who easily makes contacts and knows how to find the way to Gouda entrepreneurs and funds? Do you enjoy visible results and achieving a win-win through a wonderful event with proud sponsors? Do you have tact and empathy? Are you creative in devising and designing new sponsorship and funding opportunities? Do you like working together and short lines in your own team and with the board, program committee and communication/PR committee?
Come and join us as a member (m/f) of the Sponsorship Committee of Gouda by Candlelight, the most beautiful event in Gouda!
Gouda bij Kaarslicht, in addition to a fixed financial contribution from the municipality of Gouda, largely relies on financial contributions from companies, organizations and cultural and social funds. The Sponsor Committee ensures that we can realize the event financially and expand it further.
Your commitment is on average a few hours per week over the year, but you can decide for yourself when you do your work. Approaching sponsors when it suits them requires some flexibility. Furthermore, you participate in the meetings of the core team of Gouda bij Kaarslicht, on average once every six weeks.
The organization of Gouda bij Kaarslicht consists of volunteers. Your reward is the energy you get from organizing this event together with so many enthusiastic others.

About Stichting Gouda bij Kaarslicht
Since 1956, the municipality of Gouda has received a Christmas tree from its sister municipality Kongsberg and the lights in this tree are festively lit. Since 1958, the year that the Koninklijke Stearine Kaarsenfabriek Gouda (now Bolsius) existed for 100 years, the town hall has been lit with candles from this candle factory. In all these years, the event has grown into a cultural event that heralds the start of the Christmas season for the city of Gouda and is visited by visitors from Gouda and far beyond.
Every year, commissioned by the municipality, the Gouda by Candlelight Foundation organizes a 1-day cultural event in the city of Gouda in December, during which various activities are undertaken in a Christmas atmosphere around the festive lighting of the Christmas tree in accordance with years of tradition.
