Volunteer Coordinator

When organizing our activities, we need extra hands. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you are responsible for attracting new volunteers and motivating current volunteers. You ensure good matches between volunteers and positions, and you also guide and support volunteers during their work.

Expected time spent

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you are expected to spend an average of 2 hours per month on this function. The number of hours may vary, depending on the size and needs of the foundation. In addition, there may be peak times around specific projects or events that require additional volunteer efforts. That is why we value flexibility in planning and the willingness to sometimes invest extra time from our volunteers.

The tasks in a nutshell

• Attracting new volunteers through online platforms, networking events and collaborations with educational institutions, etc.
• Conducting interviews with (potential) volunteers to assess their interests, skills and availability, and to match them with suitable positions within the foundation.
• Organizing and coordinating introductory meetings and/or training for new volunteers to familiarize them with the foundation, its vision and working methods.
• Ensuring good communication and involving volunteers with Stichting Gewoon Gegund, through newsletters and other internal communication channels.
• Coordinating the scheduling of volunteer services.
• Maintaining a record of volunteer data, such as contact information, availability and results achieved.
