Animal ambulance co-driver employee

As an Animal Ambulance Employee (Co-Driver) you provide first aid to animals and help transport deceased, injured and / or found pets or other animals. You also assist the fire brigade, police, municipal services and offer assistance in national calamities. During a ride you are the point of contact for the control room and you handle the necessary administration in a neat and correct manner. As a team (you and the driver) you ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle and transport materials (cleaning according to hygiene protocol).

It is not necessary to have a driving license for the position of co-driver.

The tasks:

• Answering a phone call, providing information and advice and prioritizing trips.
• Providing first aid to injured / sick animals.
• Transporting injured, found and / or deceased animals to the relevant asylum, shelter and / or crematorium.
• Collection of deceased pets from public roads.

What are we looking for?

In addition to subscribing to the objectives of the Animal Protection, you have or are:

• Affinity with animals and the work of animal welfare.
• MBO working and thinking level (or demonstrable work experience at that level).

And are you:

• Available for a minimum of two shifts a week, 1 night shift in the month and 1 weekend shift in the month.
• Willing to attend the courses and meetings offered.
• Stress resistant, flexible and in good physical health / fitness.
