Position within the company
You drive the ambulance as a volunteer and work together with the emergency room employee.
Purpose of the position
The ambulance driver ensures efficient, effective and safe transport of animals with or without owner to the correct (medical) institution in urgent and non-emergency cases, and contributes to the care and first aid to promote the welfare of the animal.
The main tasks are
- Driving the ambulance in urgent and non-urgent cases with due observance of the legal regulations and provisions
- Providing first aid to animals and stabilizing them for transport
- Working in a customer-friendly and service-oriented way

We ask from you
- You can be deployed at least 1 shift per 14 days
- You have driving license B and good driving skills
- You have good orientation skills
- You have good social and communication skills
- You are stress resistant and you know how to keep an overview even under increased work pressure
- You can work independently
- You have a strong and strong communicative personality
- You are willing to follow (refresher) courses
These are the working hours:
09:00 - 18:00 Day shift
6:00 PM - 9:00 AM Evening / night shift
10:00 - 19:00 Day shift
19:00 - 22:00 Evening service

Animal ambulance Gooi- en Vechtstreek is a volunteer organization with the aim of providing assistance
animals in need. Both pets and wildlife. For this we are available 24 hours a day,
Available 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The Animal Ambulance also records reports of missing and found animals.
The volunteers work as drivers and emergency room employees and have behind-the-scenes tasks. Also the
board members are volunteers.
Three ambulances are available to transport the animals safely.
