About Stichting De Molentuin
The De Molentuin Foundation was established on 13 May 2015 with the following objectives: To promote, manage and - if possible - acquire and keep ownership of play and green areas in the Voorstad Centrum district of the municipality of Deventer. that are related to the above in the broadest sense or are conducive to it. \n \nActivities \n \nIt is a plot of 1350 m3 divided into four areas, a playground, a picking / experience garden, a lawn and a part with 15 vegetable gardens. The vegetable gardens are maintained by the people who rent a vegetable garden for 25 euros a year. The rest of the garden needs regular maintenance, which mainly consists of garden work, pruning, weeding, tidying up and planting. Every year we set up a large Christmas tree in the garden. Sometimes there is also repair work on the fences or the playground equipment. We have a shed with garden tools. Once a month we organize a DIY morning on Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon, where we also take a break while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee with a snack. Additional but not unimportant is the contact with each other. And the knowledge we acquire from each other about the maintenance of certain trees and shrubs.
