Computer support worker

You support the course instructor. This involves organizing and writing emails, recognizing spam, editing Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, but also supporting the scanning of documents and making simple adjustments to his website.

The course instructor, a 62-year-old man with a non-congenital brain injury, has his own foundation (non-profit) where he helps people with health problems through breathing techniques. Such as people with asthma or long-covid. He makes extensive use of his computer and laptop for this.

Due to his brain injury, he has difficulty working on the computer. He has difficulty remembering work routines, absorbs information more slowly and finds it difficult to put text in writing. That is why he is looking for help with computer work.

In advance, the gentleman and the WMO supervisor will demonstrate what the tasks entail and, where necessary, they will provide an explanation about the injury and what this means for the gentleman.

What do we expect from you?

- You are comfortable using a computer

- You are sociable and patient

- You speak good Dutch and can help with spelling mistakes, for example

- Handles information confidentially

What's in it for you?

What makes the work worthwhile?

With the volunteer work you not only help the gentleman himself, but you also make it possible for the gentleman to support people with their health. Your work therefore has a lot of positive results. The gentleman has a sense of humor, is friendly and nice to work with.
