As part of the commemoration of the liberation of Apeldoorn, the Liberation '45 Foundation organizes the lighting of the Liberation Flame on April 17, the Remembrance Day on May 4 and the Remembrance Day commemoration on the Sunday closest to November 11. In addition, the Foundation organizes a major celebration every anniversary year; the next in May 2025 when 80 years of freedom will be commemorated and celebrated.
