At Villa de Lawet, you directly contribute to the well-being of vulnerable seniors! Whether you have a lot or a little time, there's always something to do that suits you.

We believe it's essential to make our residents feel at home. Well-being is a crucial part of human health. Therefore, we're looking for people who care deeply about seniors with dementia and have the time to offer them some extra attention. What appeals to you? We'd love to hear from you!

What does volunteer work entail?

Volunteering is a meaningful and rewarding pastime. You'll be working in a very pleasant and inviting environment. Get a feel for our family atmosphere on the pages of our care villas on our website.

What are your wishes?

We believe it's important that the work aligns with your skills and abilities. That's why we'll discuss your volunteering needs with you, and you'll receive all the information you need to perform your duties effectively.

In short: we provide professional support, clear agreements, and a volunteer agreement. You don't need any specific training.

What are the options?

They're very diverse! Here's a selection of activities we do with our residents:

• Assisting with relaxation afternoons or evenings

• Walking buddy

• Swimming buddy

• Take time for a good conversation

• Going to the market

• More exercise for the elderly

• Cooking activity

Perhaps you have some nice ideas yourself, they are always welcome!

About Villa de Lawet

At a beautiful location in Wageningen, we proudly present Stepping Stones' newest development: Villa de Lawet! This impressive, historic building, with a total of 34 units, offers housing for vulnerable seniors with dementia. The apartments are spread across the ground, first , and second floors. A spacious living/dining room, a daytime activity area, and a large kitchen ensure that the villa is fully equipped. A cozy terrace is being built at the front.

Stepping Stones, part of Korian Netherlands, offers seniors with dementia a comfortable, dignified, and loving place to live. Our care professionals are in close contact with our residents and their families day and night. Together, we create personalized care and a supportive home. This fosters a sense of family, where quality and personal attention are paramount.

Our charming care homes are located throughout the Netherlands. They are unique, exceptional buildings with a small-scale design and a recognizable and well-organized layout. They are often historic buildings with striking or unique features. While there's ample space for social interaction, we also ensure sufficient privacy. Each care home has a dedicated team that knows the residents inside and out. This allows us to provide truly personalized care.
