We believe it is essential to make our residents feel at home. Well-being is a very important part of human health. For this we are looking for people who care about the elderly with dementia and who have some time left to offer them some extra attention. What appeals to you? We would like to hear it!

What does volunteering involve?

Whether you have a lot of time or little time, there is always something to do that suits you. Volunteering is a meaningful pastime that can give you a lot of satisfaction. You will work in a very attractive and pleasant working location. Get an impression of our family feeling on the pages of our care villas on our website.

What are your wishes?

We think it is important that the work matches your qualities and possibilities. That is why we will discuss your wishes for volunteering with you and you will receive all the information you need to be able to perform your tasks properly. In short: we provide professional support, clear agreements and a volunteer agreement. You don't need any specific training.

What are the possibilities?

They are very diverse! Some of the activities with our residents:

• Help with relaxation afternoons or evenings

• Hiking buddy

• Swimming buddy

• Take time for a good conversation

• Go to the market

• More exercise for the elderly

• Cooking activity

About Villa de Lawet

At a beautiful location in Wageningen we proudly present the newest location of Stepping Stones: Villa de Lawet! With a total of 34 units, this imposing monumental building offers housing to vulnerable elderly people with dementia. The apartments are spread over the ground floor, the 1st and ^2nd floor. A spacious living/dining room, a daytime area and a spacious kitchen ensure that the villa is fully equipped. A cozy terrace is being built at the front.

Stepping Stones, part of Korian Nederland, offers elderly people with dementia a nice, dignified and loving place to live. Our healthcare professionals are in close contact with our residents and their families day and night. Together we create customized care and a protective household. This creates a family feeling, in which quality and personal attention are paramount.

Our attractive care villas are located throughout the country. They are unique, special buildings with a small-scale design and a recognizable and well-arranged layout. They are often historic buildings with striking or special elements. There is enough space for social contacts, but we also provide enough privacy. Each care villa has a permanent team that knows the residents through and through. This allows us to provide truly customized care.
