Would you like to occasionally drive residents of AZC de Keijenbergseweg or AZC de Bosrandweg to an activity in Wageningen?Detailed description
An average of 600 people live in the two AZCs in Wageningen: women, men, children, singles, couples and families.
AZC de Keijenbergseweg is not within walking distance of the Wageningen city center and is very difficult to reach by public transport. Residents who are not mobile, because they cannot walk or cycle well, do not or hardly ever leave the AZC.
It is not advisable to walk to the city from AZC de Bosrandweg in the evening.
That is why there is a pool of volunteers who occasionally drive these residents from the AZCs to an activity in their own car.
What are you going to do?
Ria Wigt (photo) coordinates the transport on behalf of Welkom in Wageningen and she does it with heart and soul.
Do you have a car? Do you also want to drive and take parents and their children to creative activities in the city? Or to the sports field? Or to the Community Center for a joint meal? Or to Thuis or the Superette? Then respond to this call. Then we will add you to the 'Taxi volunteer app group' in which the call is placed every now and then to help pick up and drop off by car.
