About Sophia-Vereeniging
The Sophia-Vereeniging is an animal organization that has been fighting animal suffering since 1867. Not only when the damage has been done, but preventively by providing information about the natural behavior, purchase, education and care of pets. Because no matter how good their intentions are, many owners are hardly aware of their animal's natural needs. As an animal organization, the Sophia-Vereeniging clears up misunderstandings through educational projects and campaigns. There are the Sophia SnuffelCollege and the Sophia Animal Consultation Hours. These activities include, for example, body language and the purchase of the animals, as well as their social needs. In addition, the Sophia-Vereeniging is committed through public campaigns and political lobby to better legislation for pets and strict controls on this.
