Solidez Mantelzorg is looking for volunteers who want to take a walk with care seekers once a week. You relieve their carers and make people happy!
As a buddy, just take someone outside who can no longer do it independently. It may be that the person uses a walker or wheelchair. You agree together where you will walk (to). That can also be a coffee place in the city or a park or just through the neighborhood.
What do you need for this:
You enjoy walking and are interested in people. You want to give someone else a few nice hours. You are there for the other person in the first place. You have two to a maximum of three hours once a week or once every two weeks. You have a healthy sense of responsibility.
What do we offer you:
We offer support if there are any questions or if you, as a volunteer, encounter matters that you would like to discuss.
What makes the work worthwhile:
This relieves an involved informal carer who has some time for himself. You give the care recipient a nice hour (or two) in the open air. Sometimes it concerns lonely people that you really make happy with your personal attention for them. Volunteers experience the satisfaction of this as high.
When:
The planning of your deployment is done in consultation with the informal carer and the care recipient. The Volunteer Coordinator can help with this.
