IRONMAN event traffic controller / service employee

IRONMAN 70.3 on 2-3-4 October 2020

In the first weekend of October (2-3-4) a major sports event is organized in the Hoorn area. This event called 'IRONMAN' is a three-day sports event in which many triathletes from all over Europe participate.

The IRONMAN event is a triathlon sports competition consisting of a swimming course, cycling route and running route. The triathlon competitions are offered at two different distances; namely a quarter and a half triathlon. But in addition to these two top competitions, a kids run and a night run are also organized. In short, a super cool sports event for the entire weekend!

For this large-scale sporting event, we are looking for top people who want to work as a service employee to bring this event to a higher and more professional level.

What are you going to do:

As a service employee you work alongside trained traffic specialists. You will play an assisting role and will help to regulate traffic at, for example, intersections or other busy points in the course. Furthermore, you may have to close roads and take care to have traffic continued to their destination via a different route. You do all this for the athletes so that they can safely participate in their competition. The services have an average duration between 3 and 4 hours per day.

Earnings:

An additional bonus is that you will participate in an online course before the start of this event. When you have completed this course you are authorized to work as a service employee in the relevant municipality (municipality of Drechterland or municipality Hoorn). You can therefore state this certificate on your CV after this event and perhaps start working at similar events more often. Super awesome! You will also receive a gift voucher as compensation
