Detailed description
Slot Schaesberg was opened to the public in the first half of 2015. The castle remains were made accessible for the first time, and a visitor center was built. Preparations are currently being made to rebuild the 17 e -sean gateway of Slot Schaesberg. In due time, the estate will also be used to build a historic (children's) farm and various craft houses, which will serve as publicly accessible work and training places.
The historic garden '' Hof van Schaesberg '' is already starting to take shape. Several courtyards have already been planted and the aim is for complete planting.
You will be involved in all activities in the area garden. Think of sowing, planting, transplanting, pruning, fattening, harvesting, watering, trenching and general maintenance and the like. You will be deployed according to a schedule. We expect you to be available at least one part of a day per week. Of course it is a plus if you like gardening and are interested in historic gardens.
You are independent, solution-oriented, all-round employable for garden maintenance. You find it a challenge to realize a unique historical garden with a team. You are interested in (historical and forgotten) vegetables, herbs and flowers and you enjoy putting your gained knowledge and experience into practice, but also to share it with visitors to the project.
We make no special demands but expect:
• interest and / or knowledge of historic vegetables and gardens, Je are eager to learn and flexible, and enjoy working outdoors and together in a team.
We offer you a very challenging and instructive temporary volunteer function in consultation at least 4 hours per week (on average) or more, for an indefinite period. You work together in a team according to a schedule and schedule. We provide guidance and support as well as a pleasant and stimulating work environment.

About Slot Schaesberg
De uitvoering is in handen van Stichting Landgoed Slot Schaesberg die de projectdoelstelling omzet in deelprojecten en operationeel leiding geeft aan de herbouw- en exploitatieprojecten die worden bemenst met vrijwilligers, stagiairs en re-integranten.
Slot Schaesberg is in de eerste helft van 2015 opengesteld voor publiek. De kasteelrestanten zijn voor het eerst toegankelijke gemaakt, er is een bezoekerscentrum gebouwd. Momenteel worden voorbereidingen getroffen om de 17e -eeuwse toegangspoort van Slot Schaesberg te herbouwen. Op termijn zullen op het landgoed o.a. ook een historische (kinder)boerderij en verschillende ambachtshuizen gebouwd worden, die zullen dienen als publiekstoegankelijke werk-en opleidingsplaatsen.
Bij Slot Schaesberg zijn dus veel projecten in uitvoering waarvoor we op zoek zijn naar ervaren houtbewerkers, of mensen die ervaring willen opdoen met (historische) houtbewerking. Zo gaan we diverse ambachtelijke vakwerkhuizen bouwen, voetgangersbruggen, een houten praam en vele andere grotere en kleinere projecten.
Ook zijn wij op zoek naar vrijwilligers die mee willen helpen in de tuin, een maquettebouwer, medewerkster/medewerker gastenontvangst, medewerker technische dienst, gids voor het geven van rondleidingen en medewerkers voor het opzetten en begeleiden van activiteiten/evenementen.
